If you have a scheduled report or job in Cognos, when you change your password, you will need to log into Cognos and renew your credentials so that when the report / job next runs, it has your updated login information. To do so:
1. Log into the Cognos environment where your reports / jobs are scheduled.
2. Click the person icon in the upper right corner.
3. Select “My preferences”
4. Select the Personal tab and then click on “Advanced”. Select "Renew" to renew your credentials.
You will see the following message near the top of your screen if you are successful:
